Medical Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Technician to join our team at King's Daughters Medical Center. As a CMT, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to provide exceptional patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with non-nursing tasks such as crash cart checks, quality control checks, and retrieving equipment/supplies.
- Provide routine patient care and treatment under the direction of RN/LPNs, including vital signs, intake/output, pain level assessment, and administering enemas.
- Recognize and practice within scope of certification and competency levels, relaying questions or concerns to supervising RN/LPNs.
- Effectively communicate pertinent information in shift-to-shift reports and document items in EPIC as indicated.
- Respond to emergency situations as indicated, such as ERT calls.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program.
- Active licensure in the State of Kentucky or National Registry as an EMT-B at a minimum.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of start.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
