Marine Department Manager

Ace Hardware is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Department Manager to lead our marine department team. As a Marine Department Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring superior customer service and consistent inventory stock levels within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide positive representation of the store and ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve problems with the customer and the store's best interest taken into consideration.
  • Possess excellent marine product knowledge as well as knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Leadership

The Marine Department Manager will be responsible for:

  • Becoming an integral part of the community in which you live and work through civic organizations and being community-minded.
  • Challenging all associates to think of ways to better merchandise product, control expenses, and increase sales.
  • Leading by example; being approachable by all associates and customers.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School or GED equivalent required; degree preferred.
  • Completion of NHRA Advanced Course in Hardware Retailing recommended.
  • Previous retail experience preferably in the marine trade.
Physical Demands

The Marine Department Manager will be required to:

  • Stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb.
