Job Title: 3rd Shift Operations Lead

Job Summary:
Post Holdings is seeking a 3rd Shift Operations Lead to join our team. As a 3rd Shift Operations Lead, you will be responsible for working with the department supervisor to train new and existing personnel, ensuring a safe work environment, and assigning work tasks to department personnel.

Responsibilities:
Assist in training processing and production personnel in assigned department
Assist supervisor with updating training for existing personnel whenever equipment changes are instituted, or new procedures are implemented
Assign work tasks to department personnel
Assist with safety audits
Maintain control records related to processing
Continually monitor lines for quality product and notify all appropriate personnel if discrepancy is found
Monitor processing equipment on a continual basis to maintain proper production standards
Report and fill out notifications for maintenance issues as they relate to productivity, food safety, quality, and human safety
Encourage suggestions from employees to improve productivity, quality, or control cost of production
Maintain accurate downtime records and daily shift report of all equipment in assigned area
Accurately and timely complete daily paperwork, SAP, PEB, and Bill of Lading as needed
Operate forklift and pallet jack as needed
Follow proper SOPs
Assume personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks
Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained
Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality
Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Insure regulatory compliance at all times
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
Previous forklift and/or pallet jack experience desired
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Must have basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors, or employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
Able to direct, train, and motivate department personnel
Ability to recognize problem situations, investigate, and take appropriate steps to resolve
Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty, and humid environments
Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments
Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment
Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction
Displays responsible behavior at work
Open to change
Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift and pallet jack license
Must be able to work overtime or weekends when required
