We are in search of a dedicated Certified Professional Coder to enhance our coding department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in accurately coding medical claims to facilitate compliant billing for both outpatient and inpatient services. This position involves meticulous review of patient records, ensuring the precision of billing codes, and promptly addressing any gaps or deficiencies in documentation with the healthcare provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily coding tasks to guarantee precise claim processing for clients.
- Examine medical documentation for correctness and swiftly communicate any incomplete records.
- Conduct audits and rectify previously submitted claims to maintain accuracy.
- Ensure that all billing codes adhere to ASA/AMA standards and remain updated with payer modifications.
- Act as the primary resource for coding-related inquiries and projects.
- Achieve daily coding output and quality benchmarks established by management.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Valid CPC certification from AAPC is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of coding experience is essential; experience in anesthesia coding is advantageous.
