We are in search of a dedicated Certified Professional Coder to contribute to our organization. The individual in this role will be tasked with accurately coding claims to facilitate compliant billing for both outpatient and inpatient procedures. The Certified Professional Coder will meticulously review patient records, verify the precision of billing codes, and promptly communicate any missing or incomplete documentation to the provider organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily coding tasks to guarantee precise claim processing for external clients.
  • Examine medical records for correctness and swiftly report any incomplete documentation.
  • Conduct audits and amend previously coded claims to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure billing codes adhere to ASA/AMA standards and remain updated with payer modifications.
  • Act as the primary contact for coding-related inquiries, challenges, and projects.
  • Achieve daily coding production and quality benchmarks established by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Valid CPC certification from AAPC is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of coding experience is essential; experience in anesthesia coding is advantageous.
