Graphite is a critical mineral that makes up a significant portion of lithium-ion batteries used in phones, laptops, and electric vehicles. We've developed a novel method of graphite production with a new supply chain and cost structure.
The RoleAs a member of our early team, you will play a key role in building and operating our lithium ion battery graphite anode material processing facility. You will commission and operate pilot and commercial scale graphite anode processing equipment, including purification, milling, shaping, and coating process equipment.
You will assist with graphite anode optimization and testing to produce high-quality, reproducible graphite for battery manufacturer and EV OEM qualification.
Responsibilities- Commission and operate pilot and commercial scale graphite anode processing equipment
- Field installation of new machines and retrofitting existing production equipment
- Optimize Molten's graphite anode material at pilot and commercial scale to meet customer quality, purity, and performance requirements
- Work closely with our technical founding team to push our graphite production technology to industrial scale
- 2+ years of experience working with manufacturing of natural or synthetic graphite for the battery industry
- Hands-on experience building and/or operating natural or synthetic graphite manufacturing equipment or other powder processing and handling equipment at the pilot to commercial scale
- Experience with bulk powder handling, calcination, graphitization, milling, sieving, mixing, shaping, and pitch coating
- Experience operating and maintaining pumps, motors, compressors, and other basic industrial power components
- Experience with plumbing and electrical routing
- Safety-oriented individual with experience in an industrial or construction environment
