The Associate Director, Student Financial Center position provides strategic oversight and supervision of the Student Financial Center. This role is responsible for the administration and coordination of a department, division, or area, providing student programs or services including employee supervision and policy interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight in the preparation, presentation, and implementation of short- and long-term departmental goals.
- Interpret and administer federal, state, and university policies and procedures.
- Participate in planning and oversight of programs and services.
- Supervise employees, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure effective delivery of services and customer relations, including resolving escalations.
- Develop, report, and identify metrics to evaluate efficiencies and suggest operational changes when warranted.
- Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
- Bachelor's degree and 24 months of experience in administrative management, including supervision.
- Ability to speak, read, and write clear, concise English.
- Financial or accounting experience, including analysis, auditing, and budgeting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff.
- Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.
- Customer service skills.
- Knowledge of advising, counseling, or coaching principles.
- Ability to read and interpret policy and State and Federal regulations.
- Experience working with students of any age in an educational setting.
- Financial aid and/or bursar experience.
5-7 staff members.
