Job Title: Endowed Associate Director of Digital Manufacturing

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a visionary leader to shape the future of its newly established OU Polytechnic Institute (OUPI). As the Endowed Associate Director of Digital Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in developing a forward-looking and innovative program in digital manufacturing, contributing to teaching, advising, mentoring, curriculum design, and implementation at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

About the Role:

This 12-month administrative position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of OUPI and aligns with the University's strategic plan. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, purposeful, and collaborative leader with a strong track record in leadership and collaboration in digital manufacturing-related fields.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital manufacturing program, including curriculum design, faculty hiring, and research initiatives.
  • Lead a team of faculty and staff in the development and implementation of digital manufacturing-related courses and programs.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop research initiatives and foster partnerships that benefit the University and the community.
  • Provide academic and professional guidance to students, faculty, and staff, promoting a culture of inclusivity and excellence.
  • Manage complex physical and human infrastructure, ensuring the effective operation of the digital manufacturing program.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a PhD in digital manufacturing or a related field, a strong record of research, scholarship, teaching, and mentoring, and departmental, school, or other leadership experience. A demonstrated record of positive accomplishments in nurturing and enhancing faculty, undergraduates, and graduates, as well as effective management of complex physical and human infrastructure, is essential.
