Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Outpatient Imaging department. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the imaging team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient preparations and procedures, including taking vital signs and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and treatment areas, and assist with patient care tasks as needed.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and precertifying procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Medical Assistant certification and maintenance of current certified status obtained through one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists Association, National Association for Health Professionals, National Center for Competency Testing, National Healthcareer Association, or American Allied Health.
