The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equity Compliance Investigator to join our team. As a key member of our Office for Institutional Equity, you will play a critical role in ensuring our university's compliance with federal, state, and local laws in the area of equal opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and resolve discrimination and harassment complaints on the basis of sex, gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or veteran status.
- Conduct assessments and investigations of complaints of sexual misconduct, harassment, and retaliation.
- Develop and prepare comprehensive reports based on facts revealed in investigations.
- Provide input and/or testimony as needed in hearings or other disciplinary proceedings.
- Participate in the evaluation and ongoing development of University policy and procedures related to sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
- JD from an accredited law school required.
- Five years of experience investigating and resolving discrimination/harassment complaints.
- Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
