Compliance Manager Job Description

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team. As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing compliance activities for Erickson Senior Living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the coordination of compliance audits performed by the Compliance Department and Health Operations Department.
  • Support Compliance and Privacy program education initiatives and monitor annual training completion in Workday.
  • Support compliance, information security, and privacy investigations, including information intake, employee interviews, report writing, and closure of investigations.
  • Work with ESL business units, internal teams, and third-party vendors to achieve program requirements while enabling the business to make decisions regarding risk mitigation.
  • Manage the NAVEX Ethics Point database, the Compliance Department incident tracking and hotline system, including case entry, case updates, and case closure.
  • Partner with the Compliance Department to conduct HIPAA-related compliance activities, including the HIPAA walk-around and providing guidance for ESL-managed community documentation coordinators.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a healthcare compliance or legal position for a minimum of four years.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn federal and state regulatory requirements related to healthcare privacy, security, and compliance, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, new State privacy regulatory requirements, federal billing, coding, and documentation requirements, Stark, and Federal False Claims Act.
