Job Summary

The University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Coordinator for Leadership Development in the Student Involvement and Leadership unit within Campus Life. This role will work closely with the Assistant Director for Leadership Development to create a leadership development vision for UNCW students, supervise a graduate assistant and a team of undergraduate student leadership educators, and plan and execute leadership development programs grounded in leadership theories and philosophies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement leadership development programs that align with the university's mission and goals
  • Supervise a graduate assistant and a team of undergraduate student leadership educators
  • Collaborate with campus partners across the Division of Student Affairs to facilitate workshops for classrooms, student employee trainings, and student organization groups
  • Plan and execute leadership development programs, including workshops, small groups, and one-on-one coaching
  • Develop and maintain relationships with campus partners, student organizations, and community groups to promote leadership development opportunities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • Experience advising or supervising undergraduate students
  • Experience in program planning, evaluation, and implementation skills
  • Knowledge of leadership theory, models, and philosophies
  • One to three years of experience planning and developing programs in a higher education or related setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • Experience creating programs based on leadership theory, models, and philosophies
  • Experience developing workshop and presentation content and facilitating small group discussion
