TAP Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to enhance our engineering capabilities. This role is ideal for an innovative engineer who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment where your expertise is both essential and appreciated.


The Senior RF Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, evaluation, and development of high-power and high-reliability RF components and systems. Collaboration with other technical specialists and peer functions, including Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineers, will be key to success in this position.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or a related technical discipline)
  • Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph clearance
  • 7+ years of comprehensive engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in radar design, analysis, and/or testing
  • Proficiency in RF and/or analog circuit layout and packaging
  • Experience in antenna design for high-power applications
  • Familiarity with EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST)
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering (or a related technical field)
  • Experience with schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium)
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication & design, and common electronics assembly processes
  • Ability to develop electronics test requirements, plans, and procedures at both the system and component levels

Note: This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.


Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on the current background investigation (SBI), along with the favorable completion of a full-scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be conducted by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

  • Favorable Criminal History Check
  • Education Verification
  • Abuse/Illegal Drug Use
  • Credit Check
  • Subject Interview
