TAP Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to contribute to the development and analysis of advanced RF components and systems. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment where their expertise is essential and valued.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the design, analysis, and enhancement of high power and high reliability RF systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineers to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph clearance.
  • A minimum of 7 years of comprehensive engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in radar design, analysis, and testing.
  • Proficiency in RF and/or analog circuit layout and packaging.
  • Expertise in antenna design for high power applications.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST).
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering (or related technical field).
  • Experience with schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium).
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and design processes.
  • Ability to develop electronics test requirements, plans, and procedures at both system and component levels.

Note: This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.


Clearance Requirement:

This position necessitates the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), along with the successful completion of a full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be conducted by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

  • Favorable Criminal History Check
  • Education Verification
  • Abuse/Illegal Drug Use
  • Credit Check
  • Subject Interview
