Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech-Certified to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities, including personal, physical, and comfort needs, under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
- Record vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and provide other patient comfort measures.
- Assist with specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment to prevent and control infections and ensure patient safety.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Current WV Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or completion of hospital-based certification program.
- Prior patient care experience.
