Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Administrator to join our team at Western & Southern Financial Group. As a key member of our Retirement Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our pension services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain positive relationships with plan sponsors, agents, and internal clients.
  • Maintain positive relationships with deferred participants from the Pension Risk Transfer group.
  • Facilitate quote requests for Pension Risk Transfer clients in collaboration with the Actuarial department.
  • Prepare benefit election forms using information provided by the Actuarial department and oversee the distribution process before handing off to the Business Quality Assurance team.
  • Oversee Pension Risk Transfer phone lines and respond to inquiries daily to ensure all participants are answered in a timely manner.
  • Provide monthly and weekly sales and administrative reports for Retirement Services in a timely manner.
  • Proactively notify plan administrators of governmental deadlines and ensure compliance with due dates.
  • Prepare all government filings requested by plan administrators.
  • Work with plan sponsors to ensure all necessary 1099-R's are accurate and timely for Retirement Services clients.
  • Review accounts receivables for Retirement Services and make necessary contact to procure payment.
  • Prepare annual valuation data sheet and census for plan administrators upon request.
  • Provide agents, clients, and outside third-party administrators with PS-58 costs, statements of contract, schedule A, and other policy information per request.
  • Maintain department membership to necessary boards and subscription fees.
  • Handle accounts payable as needed.
  • Promote the value of Lafayette Life products within qualified plans.
  • Responsible for keeping office supplies stocked.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully interpret and communicate business needs to both internal and external client groups in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills. Must cite examples of organization and time management methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
  • Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-based operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Work Environment

This role will be based in an office setting and will require the ability to work in a continuous stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer, or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.

Extended hours may be required during peak workloads and special projects.
