Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Social Services to join our team at Seasons Retirement Community. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional social services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Social Services Programs: Create and implement social services programs that meet the unique needs of our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Assess and Evaluate Resident Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of resident needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with our interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support for our residents.
  • Provide Education and Training: Develop and deliver educational programs for residents, families, and staff on topics related to social services, health, and wellness.
  • Manage Social Services Staff: Supervise and mentor social services staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work: A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
  • Experience in Social Services: A minimum of 2 years of experience in social services, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
