This role requires an individual to work onsite for a full 5-day week.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Responsibilities:

The following are key responsibilities for this position:

  1. Design and create comprehensive test cases for both web and desktop applications.
  2. Thoroughly review business, functional, and design specifications to ensure a complete understanding of deliverables.
  3. Determine testing requirements based on specifications, and develop test coverage accordingly.
  4. Develop and implement Test Plans to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software that aligns with company standards.
  5. Identify potential quality concerns as per established processes and promptly escalate issues to management.
  6. Attendance in the office may be required all 5 days during specific periods.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Applicants should possess:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in testing critical customer-facing applications.
  • A college degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Familiarity with qTest and JIRA is advantageous.
  • A flexible approach to working late hours and weekends as necessary.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

The following skills must be demonstrated at a proficient level:

  • Proficiency in testing web services is essential.
  • Experience in providing QA for mobile, web, and backend services.
  • Extensive backend testing experience, with a solid understanding of data mapping, ETL processes, and the ability to write complex SQL/Procs.
  • Experience in conducting usability tests and an ability to understand users' unique perspectives.
  • Proficiency in defining and executing automation test cases, as well as scheduling automation scripts from the test case management tool.
  • Testing of mobile applications across various devices.
  • Ability to analyze and create test scenarios based on functional requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of testing tools, preferably qTest.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium or UFT.
  • Proficiency with tools like ALM, JIRA, and all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of API and Microservices is required.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced, lean environment, with a hands-on team player approach.
