The Substitute Recruitment Team is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, vetting, and hiring qualified substitutes to meet the needs of our students and schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, flowcharts, and graphs to provide data on the hiring process
  • Investigate and research situations to respond to candidate inquiries
  • Screen applicants daily and move candidates through the hiring process
  • Assist with the implementation of job fairs, interview events, and special projects
  • Set up interviews and maintain evaluation forms
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to achieve department or CPS objectives
Requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Minimum of High School Diploma and some college credit
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous recruiting experience
  • Experience working with applicant tracking and HRIS systems, such as PeopleSoft, preferred
Skills and Abilities:
  • Professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and work independently
  • Strong technology skills, including the ability to quickly learn CPS software systems
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with others
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing timelines
Conditions of Employment:

As a condition of employment with CPS, employees are required to be fully vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing. This includes being fully vaccinated within 30 days of hire date or submitting to weekly testing if unvaccinated.
