To ensure that every student, in every school and every neighborhood, has access to a world-class learning experience, CPS has set ambitious goals. The Substitute Recruitment Team is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, vetting, and hiring qualified substitutes to meet the needs of our students and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, flowcharts, and graphs to provide data on the hiring process
- Investigate and research situations to respond to candidate inquiries
- Screen applicants daily and move candidates through the hiring process
- Assist with the implementation of job fairs, interview events, and special projects
- Set up interviews and maintain evaluation forms
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to achieve department or CPS objectives
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Minimum of High School Diploma and some college credit
- Minimum of 1 year of previous recruiting experience
- Experience working with applicant tracking and HRIS systems, such as PeopleSoft, preferred
- Professional demeanor at all times
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and work independently
- Strong technology skills, including the ability to quickly learn CPS software systems
- Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively with others
- Flexibility to adapt to changing timelines
As a condition of employment with CPS, employees are required to be fully vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing. This includes being fully vaccinated within 30 days of hire date or submitting to weekly testing if unvaccinated.
