Our ISS NTAM Technology organization is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist who can work independently, responsible for day-to-day technical improvement, support, and maintenance for multiple trading, portfolio management, and trade routing applications. This role will support our NTAM business and operations partners and clients, and will liaise with upstream and downstream application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot production issues and apply code fixes as needed.
• Collaborate with business partners to analyze and resolve queries, ensuring compliance with controlled processes.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders within IT and business teams.
• Monitor and provide support to production job streams.
• Coordinate with various teams, including offshore staff, to resolve issues and improve production processes.
• Provide on-call support after office hours, including weekends, for high and critical production issues.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement projects to enhance the stability of critical business applications.
• Adhere to Northern Trust's technology and corporate standards.
• Present IT in a professional manner, exhibiting customer service values in line with NT's A Approach.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a technical business-facing role, preferably within a financial institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid technical background.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and explain technical issues in layman's terms.
• Experience in incident management, ticket workflows, and escalation.
• Problem resolution skills, including analytical and logical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with working with other technology teams, such as Development, Infrastructure, and vended software support teams.
• Knowledge of Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL), MS SQL, Python, MS Azure Platform as a Service, and Cloud technologies.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of technology in a financial institution.
