Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Mission Systems team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining hardware and software systems for our test equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ATE test software for factory/production environments
  • Support cradle-to-grave efforts, including requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, and maintenance for all test software activities
  • Prioritize, handle, and lead multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware for test equipment development
  • Communicate with engineering teams, functional teams, and program leadership
  • Coordinate multiple projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
  • Prepare and present project/technical information to peers, internal management, and customers
  • Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in manufacturing and service environments
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or 12 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience with software skills in C++, Python, C#
  • Must have experience supporting automated test stations or systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with software applications using C, NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or other test software programming languages
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to interface ATE test software with laboratory and production tests instrumentation
  • Knowledge of software Configuration Management environments such as Git/Github/Subversion
  • Experience with file transfer protocol (FTP) and data transfer between Unit Under Test and test set computer
  • Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and delegate work
  • Some previous experience in managing small teams through hardware builds
  • Coordinating test equipment design reviews and ensuring generation of appropriate design documentation
  • Design and implement activities required to deploy project test solutions to worldwide destinations
