Job Title: Custom Product Finishing Technician

At Promega, we are seeking a skilled Custom Product Finishing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for finishing products to quality standards in order to meet custom production goals and productivity guidelines.

Job Summary:

The Custom Product Finishing Technician will work in a team environment to provide high-quality products to our customers. This role requires a basic understanding of product finishing, including process order execution, labeling, dispensing, and kitting. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Setup and operate manual and automated labeling, dispensing, and kitting equipment.
  • Label components and kits accurately and efficiently.
  • Dispense and assemble components into kits and kit sub-assemblies using approved work instructions.
  • Complete all required written documentation, including batch records.
  • Identify and report defects or nonconformances to the group leader or supervisor.
  • Follow contamination control procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing production demands.
  • Competency in general math and proficiency in using computers and electronic interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in a production environment with exposure to various production and packaging equipment.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • Ability to use computer and telephone equipment.
  • Manual dexterity to dispense product and assemble kits.
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally move up to 300 lbs. on a dolly and 500 lbs. on a pallet jack.
  • Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to move throughout a shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout shift.
  • Visual acuity for quality inspections.
  • Ability to perform occasional work in -20 degrees C temperature environments.
