Job Description

Future Labs, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Product Testing Specialist to join our team. As a Product Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all areas of testing for the laboratory, including Highway Safety Products, Paints, Plastics, Composites, and Inorganic products and raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the tests required for a product or material specification and perform the appropriate tests.
  • Learn how to calibrate or check calibration on all testing equipment to be used.
  • Interact with customers by phone, email, or text to determine their requirements for testing and product certification.
  • Explain report results and testing procedures to customers.
  • Perform any other technical activities as required by the Coatings Lab Manager or Technical Director.

Requirements:

  • BS in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Engineering.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in a commercial laboratory.
  • Knowledge of Polymeric materials, common test methods for Paint, Plastics, or Composites, and how Polymeric products are manufactured.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with computers, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Comfortable learning and working with custom programs that run analytical and physical test equipment.
