Help Desk Technician

The Halifax team is seeking a skilled Help Desk Agent Technician to join our IT Service Desk. As a key member of our team, you will provide end-user support and maintenance within our desktop and mobile computing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and maintenance for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop problems for end-users
- Collaborate with server and network administrators to ensure efficient operation of our desktop computing environment
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems
- Coordinate with remote sites and third parties for testing and conducting video and audio conferences
- Excellent technical knowledge of desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile computing devices
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and installation experience
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office software components
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
- Ability to conduct research into PC hardware and software issues and products as required
- Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
