Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the storeroom team, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Oversight: Daily oversight of the Storeroom team, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Policies and Procedures: Know, follow, and support all plant policies, practices, and safety rules.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise the procurement of parts and other supplies needed to maintain an optimum storeroom inventory.
  • Task Delegation: Delegate and fulfill daily tasks, including inventory cycle counts, work request submission, inventory database management, storeroom management, picking/delivering parts from work orders, parts ordering, and maintaining EAM vendor listings.
  • Training and Development: Take a lead role in training and developing assigned employees in the skills needed to achieve key performance metrics.
  • Receiving and Shipping: Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, open boxes, crates, shipping containers, move items into and around the warehouse and/or storeroom, verify orders placed against packing receipts, check for damage, accept or reject complete or partial shipments.
  • Communication and Engagement: Build rapport with employees through effective communication and engagement efforts.
  • Recordkeeping: Ensure accurate recordkeeping in Kronos and EAM.
  • Critical Spare Parts: Identify and manage critical spare parts lists across all areas of the plant.
  • Policy Enforcement: Must be willing to uphold and enforce company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Communication with Plant Personnel and Vendors: Maintain effective communication with plant personnel and vendors.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience within the plant maintenance function is strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience: Prior experience as a supervisor in a full-time or relief role is preferred but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Must have a communication style that allows for effective communication with PMCs and maintenance personnel.
  • Administrative Skills: Must possess general administrative skills, including basic computer aptitude (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Time Management: Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and discipline in performing administrative duties to ensure deadlines are met or exceeded.
  • Certification: Become certified forklift operator.
  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrates leadership potential, including personal accountability, decision-making, and problem-solving capability.

Hourly Salary Range: $28.00-$32.70

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
