Global Risk Management Specialist

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Global Risk Management Specialist to oversee significant global incidents and escalations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for ensuring that customers make informed purchasing decisions while supporting brand owners and sellers in successfully listing and selling their products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement program strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead teams in investigating and resolving high-impact incidents related to Product Safety and Compliance.
- Draft comprehensive reports and present findings to senior management, adhering to Amazon's writing standards.
- Analyze existing policies to identify gaps and collaborate with partner teams to devise effective solutions.
- Manage projects aimed at improving processes and operational efficiency, utilizing data analysis and collaboration with external teams.
- Monitor global events and media to proactively address potential risks, using data to identify trends and prevent issues.
- Exercise high-level judgment in making complex enforcement decisions.
A Day in the Life:
- Analyze incoming escalations and initiate resolution actions.
- Prepare initial drafts of reports and identify root causes of issues.
- Facilitate meetings with program and partner teams to develop preventative measures.
- Ensure timely delivery of reports within designated service level agreements.
- Drive initiatives that enhance processes, reduce customer risk, and improve seller experiences.
- Address ad hoc requests from leadership with thorough investigations.

Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, or risk prevention.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in program requirements definition and data-driven improvements.
- Professional auditing qualification or similar credentials in risk or compliance.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
