Job Summary

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading teams of technicians and quality control inspectors to efficiently execute aircraft work scopes and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams of technicians and quality control inspectors to execute aircraft work scopes
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure that all work is completed within schedule and estimated labor and material costs
  • Oversee daily activities of assigned work crews and take necessary action to ensure that all work is completed to quality standards
  • Drive teams for maximum efficiency and effective use of available resources
  • Assign tasks to qualified personnel and ensure that all work is completed to quality standards
  • Monitor all work performed by the crew to ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and is airworthy
  • Ensure that aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms are completed in accordance with methods of execution outlined in the RSM/QCM
  • Provide for shift turnover requirements and establish assignments to relieve crews
  • Collaborate with customer project supervisors to achieve on-time and on-budget objectives
  • Collaborate with quality assurance inspectors to achieve aircraft approval for return to service
  • Drive daily activities toward providing services and deliverables to customers that meet and exceed customer satisfaction expectations
  • Ensure that crews maintain good housekeeping practices and follow adequate safety precautions and procedures
  • Supervise a continuous safety program in their area of responsibility
  • Maintain a focus on human factors in the workplace and drive to zero defects in workmanship and safety
  • Promote and foster an environment that provides the team with opportunities to succeed
  • Contribute to the annual performance evaluation of personnel assigned under their leadership
  • Support the corporate mission and vision through achievement of department goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • FAA Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience with Falcon models
  • Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months APU & Engine Run certification qualified on at least (1) Falcon aircraft model
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in an aviation maintenance environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate subordinates
  • Proven leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations and in particular, CFR parts 43, 91 and 145; and 135 as required
  • Working knowledge of aircraft factory modifications, service bulletins, inspection program requirements, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general information pertaining to aircraft
  • Strong computer skills including Word processing, Excel spreadsheets and project management applications
  • Demonstrated project management skills
Desired Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization
  • Associate degree in an Aviation field
Working Conditions

Hangar and ramp environments with variable temperature range normal to Florida weather in the area. Melbourne hangar will be air-conditioned.
