The DC Bureau covers live breaking news, politics, and in-depth investigations for Gray Television's 113 television markets. Its regional team works closely with stations, covering issues directly impacting viewers in their markets. The national team reports on domestic and foreign issues affecting the entire country. It often travels with the President as he meets with world leaders overseas. InvestigateTV produces investigations for Gray Television and recently sparked new legislation on Capitol Hill. Local News Live is a 24/7 live-streaming news network featuring stories from Gray Television TV stations.

Job Summary/Description:

The Gray Washington News Bureau is seeking a Production Coordinator to join its team. Gray Television is looking for a responsible production assistant to support the DC Bureau's journalists. Successful candidates for the position should have strong interpersonal skills. Being a self-starter and being highly organized are also useful qualities. The salary for this position is $18.00/hr.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide research and editorial support to the DC Bureau's journalists.
  • Assist with basic video editing, including delivery to cloud servers and the internet.
  • Support live television hits and other production-related tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexible schedule and excellent computer skills.
  • Willingness to learn new hardware and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills.
