Theatrical Production Coordinator, Kennedy Center

Job Summary
The John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to coordinate the presentation and/or production of performances and events. This position will manage and administer production operation details of multiple productions and events, ensuring seamless execution and creative problem-solving within established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement production plans, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artistic, technical, and administrative staff.
- Manage production budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in theatrical production management, technical production, stage management, and/or production design.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a strong emphasis on theatrical design or technical management.
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks.
- Knowledge of ArtsVision software for production and programming calendars.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and financial management skills.
- Supervisory experience and ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to translate artistic and financial concerns while ensuring safe and successful production execution.
