Job Summary

The John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to coordinate the presentation and/or production of performances and events. This position will manage and administer production operation details of multiple productions and events, ensuring seamless execution and creative problem-solving within established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement production plans, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artistic, technical, and administrative staff.
  • Manage production budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in theatrical production management, technical production, stage management, and/or production design.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a strong emphasis on theatrical design or technical management.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks.
  • Knowledge of ArtsVision software for production and programming calendars.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and financial management skills.
  • Supervisory experience and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to translate artistic and financial concerns while ensuring safe and successful production execution.
