Publication Production Specialist Opportunity:

Sparks Group is partnering with a global association to find a Publication Production Specialist. This hybrid role requires being in the office at least 2 days per week. As a Publication Production Specialist, you will provide editorial input and manage production processes for numerous journals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate editorial production for five journals, including administrative management of the electronic manuscript submission system.
  • Analyze reports using journal reporting tools.
  • Manage the editorial manager system and social media for all journals, creating posts to promote manuscripts on LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Prepare data for editorial boards and proofread publications.
  • Manage correspondence between copyeditors and publishers.
  • Prepare issue makeup and work with leadership to define publications department priorities.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 2+ years of proofreading experience, including copy preparation.
  • Experience with Editorial Manager necessary.
  • Excellent reading and accuracy skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and proofreader marks.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
