The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee the coordination and production of events and theatrical productions. This is a key role that requires strong organizational, communication, and financial management skills, as well as a thorough working knowledge of theatrical production and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the presentation and production of events and theatrical productions, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Manage and administer production operation details, including labor agreements, inventory, and schedules.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to production problems, while working within established guidelines and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful event and production outcomes.
- Provide production design and aesthetic direction for major fund-raising events and stage presentations.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in theatrical production management, technical production, stage management, and/or production design.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with experience in theatrical design or technical management highly recommended.
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, with knowledge of ArtsVision software a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and financial management skills, with supervisory experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Local candidate or willingness to relocate to the DMV area.
