Administrative Assistant

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to join the Visual Arts Department in the College of Arts and Architecture. This is a full-time, non-tenure, benefits-eligible position.
Estimated salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description
The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, perform administrative tasks, and support the day-to-day operations of the Visual Arts Department. This includes answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
The Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for:
- Managing departmental records and files
- Preparing and distributing meeting materials
- Coordinating travel arrangements and expense reports
- Providing technical support for departmental events and exhibitions
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with office software and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
