Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide assistance with various healthcare services, obtain specimens, conduct routine lab studies, and assist with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with various healthcare services
  • Obtain specimens and conduct routine lab studies
  • Assist with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments
  • Meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred
