Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in delivering spiritual support to individuals, though not exclusively in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to connect effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, faiths, and age groups.
- Proven skills in active listening and strong interpersonal communication.
Additional Training Recommendations:
A four-year degree from a seminary, theological institution, or rabbinical school is highly preferred. Candidates with comparable life experiences will also be considered. It is essential that applicants have completed at least one, preferably two, units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Employment Conditions
This role necessitates regular interaction with children in a caregiving capacity, thus compliance with the Child Protective Services Act is mandatory. This includes a Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, a Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate must fulfill all three checks satisfactorily before commencing employment.
