Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at American Family Care is responsible for providing high-quality patient care within the scope of their training and approved agreement. This role requires collaboration with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough health histories, review patient records, and develop comprehensive medical assessments to inform treatment decisions.
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses, and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities or resources.
  • Provide emergency care and stabilization measures in critical situations, such as cardiac arrest, shock, or allergic reactions.
  • Analyze patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment.
  • Offer health care and health care promotion guidance to patients, families, and significant others.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certification (with 1 year ER/UC experience preferred).
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
  • Able to multitask and work independently.
Compensation

$80.00 per hour.
