Job Summary

The Trust Officer is a seasoned fiduciary professional responsible for delivering high-level advice and service to individuals, families, and institutions. They partner with Wealth Management and Bank teammates to administer fiduciary accounts, provide financial planning guidance, and grow the business through relationship management and new client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer fiduciary accounts, including trusts, estates, and investment management and custody accounts.
  • Provide fiduciary and financial planning guidance in estate planning, wealth transfer, estate administration, and charitable and philanthropic solutions.
  • Meet with clients to manage relationships, provide advice and planning, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Partner with client teams to grow the business through deepening existing relationships and new client acquisition.
  • Adhere to client-focused compliance policies and procedures, including annual administrative reviews and maintaining updated wealth planning and client information.

Requirements:

  • Broad-based technical knowledge of estate, trust, and fiduciary administration, wealth and estate planning strategies, and affluent and high net worth client relationship management.
  • Ability to review estate, trust, and other legal documents to execute client goals and administer fiduciary accounts.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn other job-specific software applications.
  • Excellent business development skills, with strength in identifying long-term methods to increase value through relationship development, markets, and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work effectively in a team-based work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Trust Administration, or Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of trust administration and estate planning experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with business development and relationship management preferred.
