Naval Surface Maintenance Specialist

TQI Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Naval Surface Maintenance Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to our client located in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement improved Fleet readiness assessment methodologies and support the creation of maintenance policy.
- Apply technical skills in outcome-based Navy maintenance processes and leverage soft skills for effective group collaboration and staff work.
- Lead business process analysis and retooling efforts related to Naval maintenance and business policies.
- Collaborate with a motivated team to prepare flag-level briefs, charters, maintenance strategies, communication plans, and impact assessments.
- Serve as the lead action officer for senior leadership tasking related to the material status of surface assets.
- Participate in strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews, providing critical input to validate new maintenance enterprise approaches and associated work products.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
- At least 15 years of experience in a strategic capacity for Naval Maintenance Operations, Execution, or IT Systems, serving as a senior advisor and facilitator.
- Experience in executive leadership and managing large, complex technology and infrastructure projects.
- Extensive enterprise-level knowledge of Naval Maintenance, Overhaul, and Repair Business Processes and/or Naval Maintenance IT solutions, including their systems, requirements, processes, and interfaces.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with senior government officials (O-6 and above).
- In-depth understanding of surface ship repair processes.
- Familiarity with Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) for pulling information is highly desired.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CNRMC organizational structure.
- Understanding of the working relationships between CNRMC, FLT, RMCs, and SURFMEPP.
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a government granted security clearance.
