About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a culture of compassion and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Alaska Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure.
  • Current National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current National Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current National Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current National Certification in area of specialty.
