Job OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:

A prominent player in the premium Black Angus beef sector is in search of a driven professional eager to leverage their international sales expertise in a dynamic setting. The role of International Sales Manager is vital for the expansion of Creekstone Farms. The company has already secured a leading market presence in key regions such as Asia, North America, and Europe. However, there remains significant opportunity to enhance our global market share with both new and existing client accounts. This growth will be achieved through geographical expansion and by enhancing our current sales networks in established markets. This role oversees the sales of company products in international markets; ensuring steady, profitable growth in sales revenue through effective planning, deployment, and management of sales teams; identifying objectives, strategies, and action plans to boost both short- and long-term sales and profits.

The primary focus will be on Asian markets, with potential outreach to other regions including the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, South America, and Mexico.

This position is ideally based on the west coast, with occasional travel required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support the Director of International Sales in a developmental capacity.
  2. Manage sales of branded Angus beef products.
  3. Foster strong customer relationships, expand business with current clients, and develop and retain new accounts.
  4. Drive growth and profitability in volume beef sales.
  5. Address customer concerns regarding pricing, delivery, and product quality.
  6. Execute sales strategies and tactics to meet the company's sales objectives.
  7. Minimize inventory levels by selling off aged stock and slow-moving products to industry contacts.
  8. Collaborate with internal departments such as production quality control, marketing, R&D, and product management.
  9. Minimal international travel is expected.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background with experience in beef and related products.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years of progressive sales experience in the beef industry is required.
  3. A valid US passport is necessary.
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication, decision-making, and negotiation skills are essential.
  5. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships.
  6. High energy and a willingness to learn about and establish a presence in the international beef market.
  7. Proficient in Excel and other spreadsheet software.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

2. Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.

  1. Familiarity with live and boxed beef markets and established industry contacts is preferred.
  2. Awareness of international cultural and legal variances related to sales is essential.
