A leading entity in the premium Black Angus beef sector is in search of a driven professional eager to leverage their international sales expertise in a dynamic setting. The International Sales Manager role is pivotal for the expansion of Creekstone Farms. The company has already secured a strong market presence in key regions including Asia, North America, and Europe. However, there remains significant opportunity to enhance our global market share through both new and existing customer partnerships. This growth will be achieved through geographical outreach and the enhancement of our current sales networks in established markets. This role oversees the sales of company offerings within an international framework; ensuring consistent and profitable sales growth through effective planning, deployment, and management of sales teams; identifying objectives, strategies, and action plans to enhance both short- and long-term sales and profitability.
The primary focus of this position is on Asian markets, with potential involvement in other regions such as the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, South America, and Mexico.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developmental position reporting directly to and assisting the Director of International Sales.
- Accountable for the sales of branded Angus beef products.
- Fostering robust customer relationships, expanding business with current clients, and developing and retaining new accounts.
- Responsible for the growth and profitability of beef sales volume.
- Addressing customer concerns regarding pricing, delivery, and product quality.
- Executing sales strategies and tactics to meet the company's sales objectives.
- Reducing inventory levels by selling off surplus, aged inventory, and slow-moving products to industry contacts.
- Collaborating with internal departments including production quality control, marketing, R&D, and product management.
- Minimal international travel is anticipated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background with experience in beef and beef variety meats and by-product sales.
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive sales experience in the beef industry.
- A valid US passport is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with clients.
- High energy and eagerness to learn about and establish a presence in the international beef market.
- Proficient in Excel and other spreadsheet software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
2. Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
- Familiarity with live and boxed beef markets and established industry contacts is preferred.
- Awareness of international cultural and legal variations affecting sales is essential.
