Job Overview

Automationtechies is a leading distributor of industrial products, seeking a skilled Account Manager to oversee sales and service for our instrumentation and automation product lines. This remote position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in technical sales, particularly in the fields of instrumentation and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in negotiations with clients and suppliers to create competitive quotes and secure profitable orders.
  • Enhance account growth by educating clients on our comprehensive range of value-added services.
  • Deliver detailed product information, pricing, and availability to customers.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Proactively identify solutions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer records within our CRM system.
  • Participate in ongoing training and team meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in all customer interactions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in industrial sectors, including oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, and wastewater management.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in instrumentation and control products.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and marketing of temperature, pressure, level, and flow instrumentation, as well as process equipment.
  • Minimum of 3 years in strategic account management and development.
  • Experience managing a diverse account base across a wide geographical area.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new accounts and expanding market presence.
  • Ability to establish relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing technical proposals.
  • Strong consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient written communication and presentation skills.
  • A positive, self-motivated attitude with a strong drive for results.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sedentary work involving computer use, vehicle operation, and meetings.
  • Occasional lifting of demonstration items or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work primarily indoors with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Some walking required within industrial environments.
  • Frequent use of computers and telephones.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for extended travel.
