Position Overview

As the Information Security Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing the security framework of Advanced Computer Learning's network. Your primary focus will be on the strategic planning, development, and execution of data protection protocols to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will provide guidance to senior leadership on all matters related to information security compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the organization's network infrastructure, including the inventory, configuration, and oversight of all devices, software, and hardware integral to business functions.
  • Design and implement security controls and measures to protect the organization's systems and sensitive data.
  • Regularly review and update the organization's Information Security Standard Operating Procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Advise senior management on enhancements to processes, training, software, and hardware that can bolster information security.
  • Continuously assess compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks.
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and policies to mitigate the risk of data breaches.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, including new malware and viruses, and recommend strategies for risk reduction.
  • Install and manage antivirus solutions and security systems.
  • Respond to security incidents to minimize data loss, regain system control, and document occurrences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or an Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity and information assurance, including at least 3 years in systems administration within a Windows environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of computer science and information systems.
  • Experience in creating, reviewing, and updating security documentation.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense IT environments and networks is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical abilities to troubleshoot cybersecurity challenges and conceptualize server infrastructures.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a current Secret clearance.
  • Preferred certification at IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ or equivalent certification meeting DoD 8140 requirements).
