Position Overview

Marlon Blackwell Architects, a distinguished architectural design firm recognized on both local and national levels, is in search of a skilled BIM Manager. The BIM Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive functionality, implementation, upkeep, and effective use of Autodesk Building Design Suite across the office. This position demands outstanding organizational, collaborative, and communicative abilities, along with a commitment to guiding project teams through both leadership and example. A meticulous attention to detail and a strong dedication to the logistics of each project will be crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with IT to establish and refine company protocols for model maintenance, storage, and access to necessary tools and resources.
  • Assist BIM users in their daily tasks by providing training, addressing inquiries, and offering support with modeling techniques.
  • Develop and maintain BIM standards, manage files, and create models for various types of buildings.
  • Work alongside consultants and partner firms to formulate BIM execution strategies and workflows.
  • Engage proactively in project development, presenting innovative ideas and solutions to address project challenges.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to foster collaboration among clients and project teams.
  • Proficient analytical skills with the capacity to conduct research relevant to specific project requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical project development and documentation processes, particularly in producing construction documents.
  • Experience across all phases of the design process, including Construction Administration.
  • A robust work ethic, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach are essential.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Collaboration and teamwork are fundamental to this role.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to design excellence.

Requirements

  • Professional Degree in Architecture.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Registration is preferred.
  • IT experience is advantageous.
  • At least two (2) professional references are required.
