Job Overview

Salary Range: $85,000 - $155,000 - *Integral Blue values diverse experience, technical skills, and relevant certifications, all of which contribute to the compensation range.

Integral Blue is in search of an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Project Leader who will be accountable for managing the execution of ITS maintenance initiatives. This role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and successful completion of maintenance projects that ensure the operational integrity of advanced technology-driven traffic systems. The Project Leader will be crucial in delivering comprehensive ITS maintenance services through collaboration with clients to enhance transportation safety, mobility, and environmental sustainability.

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Maintenance Services and Operations and offers flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Scoping: Conduct comprehensive scoping sessions, engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, and ensure clear documentation of project scope, objectives, and deliverables to facilitate successful execution. Lead efforts in developing Requests for Information (RFI) to clarify project scope and manage requests for changes (RFCs) and change orders efficiently.
  • Scheduling: Develop, present, and manage project timelines, proactively identifying risks and implementing strategies for timely project completion. Collaborate with project engineers to establish and monitor tasks and milestones.
  • Budget Management: Implement budget planning, monitoring, and control best practices throughout the project lifecycle, including creating detailed budget estimates, tracking expenses, timely invoicing, and applying cost-effective measures to maintain financial parameters.
  • Estimating: Conduct detailed assessments of project requirements, resource needs, materials, and potential risks to create accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine estimates and ensure alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Proposal Development: Analyze project requirements and work with cross-functional teams to create competitive and compelling project proposals.
  • Supporting Project Success: Adopt a strategic approach to contribute to winning projects by assisting in proposal development, client presentations, and bid processes. Identify and leverage opportunities to secure new business and enhance organizational success in competitive environments.
  • Project Delivery: Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful execution of projects, focusing on efficient planning, resource management, timely execution, and high-quality outcomes. Schedule, lead, and/or participate in project meetings and coordinate fieldwork with inspectors as necessary.
  • Team Communication: Establish clear expectations for team deliverables and lead project communications with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Facilitate effective communication channels, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth information flow among team members.
  • Client Relations: Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively understand and address client needs. Build and maintain positive client relationships while ensuring project objectives align with client expectations.
  • Material Procurement: Oversee material procurement efforts, fostering positive vendor relationships and negotiating pricing. Optimize the supply chain for timely project deliveries and cost-effectiveness.
  • Safety Management: Prioritize safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all team members. Implement and maintain safety measures within project budgets and timelines.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment while ensuring successful project delivery.
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum of three (3) directly related service projects in ITS maintenance, ITS integration, and ITS network management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Excellent soft skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications Desired
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Bicsi Certifications (RCDD, DCDC, OSP, and RTPM)
