Manufacturing Process Specialist

The Manufacturing Process Specialist is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and quality of welding operations. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing productivity and maintaining high standards within the welding department.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the maintenance of robotic welding and quality assurance systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing equipment without replacement.
- Implement new processes and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage machine setups and modifications, including necessary training and documentation.
- Provide expert troubleshooting for welding equipment and potentially other areas after initial maintenance efforts.
- Support various engineering functions as assigned.
- Drive improvements in line efficiency and product quality through kaizen methodologies.
- Facilitate the setup of equipment, ensuring proper documentation and training for new or altered welding product lines.
- Analyze failures related to quality concerns in the welding department and execute necessary repairs.
- Lead the execution of engineering modifications.
- Adhere to the Stop, Call, Wait policy.
Essential Skills:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience in either PLC programming or industrial robotics is essential.
- Proven troubleshooting skills in PLC programming or industrial robotics.
- At least 1 year of experience in the automotive or a similar industry for the Process Engineer I role; a minimum of 3 years for the Process Engineer II role.
- A strong desire to learn and work within the electrical domain.
- Willingness to travel for day trips to client locations.
