Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for patient inquiries, both in-person and via telephone.
  • Welcome patients and assist in addressing their concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including co-payment collection and receipt issuance.
  • Confirm patient demographic details and insurance information accurately.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and oversee patient registration procedures.
  • Facilitate the processing and tracking of referrals and authorizations across various insurance providers.
  • Handle correspondence between patients and healthcare providers effectively.
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and services clearly to patients.
  • Maintain a sanitized workspace in accordance with departmental guidelines.
QualificationsRequired:
  • Proven experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office environment.
  • Strong ability to comprehend and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
  • Familiarity with CS-Link/Epic systems.
Preferred:
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
