Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Floor Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Sales Floor Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment, and supporting the sales floor team in achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and friendly customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockrooms, and customer areas
  • Support the sales floor team in achieving sales goals, including merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on our Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Assist with Omni channel processes
  • Execute a well-merchandised and in-stock store
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful, even in difficult situations
Requirements
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Work Environment

Public retail store setting, taking care of our customers; all public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks; Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings
