We are seeking a motivated Expeditor to enhance our operations. In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled team to provide top-notch products to our clients. The Expeditor is responsible for managing the production workflow and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, facilitating the swift movement of products between production areas with minimal delays. Your responsibilities will include processing orders promptly, issuing pick tickets for necessary materials, and generating purchase orders for low inventory items to meet customer requirements.

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday (Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule every four months.)

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in a production setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with lean principles (preferred)

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to multitask effectively, supporting multiple complex projects
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Quick adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Bindery Team Lead to align upcoming jobs for operators
  • Directing raw materials and resources within the department
  • Communicating effectively with the production team (print, coating, cutting, finishing, kitting, and shipping) to ensure smooth job transitions
  • Accurately scanning jobs to designated locations on the production floor
  • Transporting products to the appropriate departments for task completion
  • Understanding the production flow to maintain efficient job movement
  • Prioritizing job movement based on production demands
  • Confirming that the appropriate Production Lead and area have the order, following up with departments for timely processing
  • Pulling raw materials to expedite orders and staging materials to minimize wait times
  • Communicating realistic delivery timelines to customer service representatives
  • Managing multiple orders simultaneously
  • Working with Quality Control Specialists to ensure compliance with inspection and documentation standards
  • Coordinating with shipping staff for proper packing and product handling
  • Ensuring accuracy in paperwork and system entries
  • Tracking orders to meet delivery goals and objectives
  • Completing various tasks as assigned by management
