The Retail Engineering Finance team is responsible for ensuring robust financial governance and oversight across our Engineering divisions, enabling Apple Retail to execute appropriately scaled projects to maintain its industry-leading customer service.

Role Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst within the Retail Engineering organization, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategy. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will serve as a pivotal financial leader, assessing the financial health of the organization and spearheading key initiatives. Success in this position requires building trust, a commitment to continuous learning, a sense of ownership, and a drive for improvement and innovation, particularly in uncertain situations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the financial operations of a capital expenditure portfolio, including project funding execution, cash flow oversight, and budget forecasting.
  • Leading the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, encompassing milestone planning, vendor relations, purchase requisition management, and invoice approval.
  • Collaborating with Engineering teams to evaluate resource activities, ensuring optimal allocation and supporting capacity planning.
  • Conducting essential financial processes and analyses, such as Fixed Asset Audits and other ad hoc projects.
  • Enhancing efficiencies and conducting in-depth analyses of existing processes and activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of years of relevant experience in a high-performance environment, focusing on financial processes, reporting, and forecasting/modeling.
  • Familiarity with Procure/Purchase-to-Pay processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise software systems and/or Apple internal applications (e.g., eApproval, SAP, Tableau, Process Director) is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across various teams and levels within the organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • A desire to learn, innovate, and enhance processes.
Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is between $107,300 and $161,300. Additionally, Apple employees have the opportunity to participate in stock programs and receive a variety of benefits, including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement.
