Position Title: Electrician Helper/Laborer

Job Type: Hourly

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Entry Level Electrician or Electrician Helper. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively under supervision, maintain clear communication with team members, and uphold a high standard of integrity and professionalism. This role involves assisting in the electrical construction, maintenance, repair, and enhancement of installations, equipment, and surrounding areas. The Electrician Helper will receive general guidance from the Foreman and skilled Installers while exercising independent judgment in the field by performing the following tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Possess a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and have reliable personal transportation. Present a professional appearance on job sites. Familiarity with hand and power tools, along with having a personal toolset, is essential.

  1. Assist in the construction, maintenance, repair, and enhancement of installations, equipment, and surrounding areas.

  1. Support skilled or semi-skilled tradespeople as directed.

  1. Perform routine tasks in trades such as electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, painting, roofing, and other related activities.

  1. Act as a helper in various projects including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and roofing tasks.

  1. Engage in heavy material handling, organization of worksite materials, unpacking, restocking, demolition tasks, and other preparatory work for trades.

  1. Carry out basic tasks not specifically related to trades, such as transporting equipment or materials for repairs, and performing grounds maintenance including snow and ice removal.

  1. Observe ongoing work and adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.

  1. Maintain cleanliness and dispose of waste, ensuring the job site is left in equal or better condition than it was found.

  1. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least one year of relevant experience. Experience in electrical work is advantageous. Familiarity with construction practices is a plus.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capability to write basic correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with numbers. Proficiency in handling units of American currency and measurements of weight, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Capability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
